Heavy thrusters!

Sorry that I have to make it short today!

Yesterday was heavy thrusters, but since my wrists are still giving me all kinds of trouble I decided be just a little smart, and go for heavy sets of 5 instead of doing max lifts..

I made my way to 80kg, and it felt really good. My wrists still hurt everytime I do heavier presses, so I am pretty happy this one went well, but I would really like to try to go heavier as soon as my wrists allow it:-)

WTF.....

What is the matter with me?

Yesterday I gave Barbara my very best, and absolutely crashed and burned! But before I get into sharing the particulars of yesterdays fiasco- let go back in time and see what has happened in the past when I have done Barbara?

I have done Barbara 4 times before yesterday, and I have only ever managed to complete one without encountering Pukie- and on that occation I had just come off a pretty nasty shoulder injury, and decided right of the bat to go horribly slow, just to see how my shoulder would react to that many reps.
On all the other attempts I have begun by hauling ass, only to get my proverbial ass handed to me by Pukie somewhere into the 4th round- A humbling experience the first time, and humiliating the 3rd time! So pure intelligence would have told me to take it easy from the beginning yesterday, and then turn it up at the end... Well, I am just not a very intelligent guy I guess- cause here is what happened!

Round 1 3;47
Round 2 3:50
Round 3 4:04
Round 4 after 31 reps of situps Pukie caught up with me and tore me apart!

WTF.... when am I going to learn that I have to take it slower from the beginning, so that I will actually make the finish line.. My plan for some time next week is to do Barbara, and aim at doing every round around 5 min, just to be able to fininsh..

If you have some advice to share- please let me know- I obviously need it!

A fast WoD...

I was in a bit of a hurry yesterday, so once again I had to come up with a little WoD of my own, nothing fantastic, but it felt good:-)

Overhead squats 5 sets of 5 reps. I worked my way up to 90kg, and it felt really good. It felt like I got the weight centered really well, and even though it has been a while since I did overhead squats- it still felt like I got the balance dialed in right of the bat.. The only thing that I could have done with out is the constant pain in my wrist! Everytime I get the weight overhead, my wrist hurts , and so focus automatically diverts onto that instead of the fact that I have a bunch of kilos sitting right on top of my head... Priorities need to change at that very second!

After that I decided that I still had a little left to give so I did a little favorite:
5 100cm box jumpps
5 weighted pull ups
5 rounds

I ran through this one without really stopping! I did'nt time it, but will have to do so the next time..

Gotta get back to following to the .com WoD's again!

Much love

In other news!

I have been out of phase with the main site , but I am working on getting back to following the WoD's.
I have however done a couple of WoD's lately, and I am pretty happy with the results:

The twins:
23:26

A nasty workout, that I feel like I could have gone faster on, but still have to admit that if I had gone faster, I would probably have hit the wall harder!

"Grace"
4:13 New PR!!!

I really want to get under 4 min, but I will have to do so in a gym that actually allows dropping the weights on the ground..

4Rounds of
400m run
50 squats
12:32

I just hate this one, so I am praying that doing it will make me a better athlete:-)

CrossFit Svea..

I wish I had some good news to share with you today, but the truth is that today is almost all about bad news!

Crossfit Svea is no more!
After a brief meeting we have decided not to continue our work with CrossFit Svea. We all have different reasons for making this decission, primarily private.
I hope that the participants of CrossFit Svea resurface somewhere else in the CrossFit sphere, and that we will all enjoy success in our endevours!

I plan on putting all my energy into doing as well as I possibly can on the certs on the european tour, and doing lectures.
I look forward to the challenge and spending time with some of the best CrossFit trainers in the world..

For now that is it, but I will be back!

Much love
